Will Scott
Will’s writing career initially began in politics in the press office of Employment and Social Affairs at the European Commission in Brussels. A return to the UK saw him employed as a journalist in south London before settling back in Newcastle to continue his career. His first novel, Scoop – The Truth Never Gets in the Way of a Good Story, is a satire on the weird and wonderful world of sports journalism.
Will’s first published book is Pavel is a Geordie, the autobiography of the late Pavel Srnicek, the former Czech international goalkeeper and Newcastle United favourite.
In his spare time, he’s often seen reading his favourite writers: Tom Shape, Irvine Welsh, Nick Hornby, Roddy Doyle, Stieg Larsson or David Nicholls, or listening to The Smiths, Cocteau Twins, The Fall and The Wonder Stuff, amongst many others.
